CVE-2021-20579Network attack vector

Sensitive-data disclosure during deferred object revalidation

Published Jun 24, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM Db2 9.7, 10.1, 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive data. The flaw occurs while Db2 processes a user-created view or inline SQL function with AUTO_REVAL set to DEFERRED_FORCE; IBM has not disclosed the erroneous operation. Exploitation requires permission to create one of those objects and the affected setting, and the reported consequence is data disclosure only.
