CVE-2021-20565

Protection bypass via attacker-modifiable security input

Published May 14, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Protection-mechanism bypass in IBM Cloud Pak for Security allows attackers to modify data and interrupt service via a manipulated input. The affected releases trust the presence or value of an input when enforcing an undisclosed protection, so changing it bypasses the decision. Affected releases are 1.4.0.0, 1.5.0.0, 1.5.0.1, 1.6.0.0, and 1.6.0.1; exploitation requires adjacent-network access and user interaction, with no confidentiality impact.
