CVE-2021-20340Network attack vector

Trusted-session script execution via Web UI injection

Published Mar 4, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Cross-site scripting in IBM Engineering products through 7.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in a trusted session. IBM identifies the Web UI as the locus but does not disclose the affected page, field, or missing encoding operation. A low-privileged user must embed the script and another user must view the affected content; execution can alter UI behavior and disclose credentials.
