Client denial of service via undisclosed C API
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Denial of service in the MySQL Client C API in MySQL 5.7.32 and earlier and 8.0.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash or hang clients. Oracle has not published the affected C API function or the operation it performs incorrectly on network input. Exploitation requires no credentials or user interaction but has high attack complexity, and the reported consequence is limited to client availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
