Administrator command execution via delimiter filter bypass
Published Jun 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Command injection in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus before 11205 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as SYSTEM. The containsScriptRestrictedWords method splits custom-schedule executor input only on spaces, so comma- or semicolon-delimited restricted commands evade its denylist. Administrator access to the custom schedules API is required, after which the scheduled script runs arbitrary operating-system commands with SYSTEM privileges.
