CVE-2021-20032Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via exposed JDWP listener

Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Remote code execution in SonicWall Analytics On-Prem 2.5.2518 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through TCP port 9000. The misconfiguration exposes a Java Debug Wire Protocol listener that accepts unauthenticated debugger operations against the running Java process. Network reachability to that listener is the only reported gate, and successful exploitation provides code execution on the Analytics appliance.
