Service interruption via unchecked beacon IE length
Published Oct 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN Host Communication allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted beacon IE response. The WLAN host parser reads beyond the response buffer because it processes the beacon information element without first checking its length. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published impact is limited to availability, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
