Service interruption via misaligned SMMU mapping lengths
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service via network input. IPA SMMU map or unmap lengths are not aligned with WLAN SMMU lengths, causing a buffer read beyond the mapped boundary. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to loss of availability.
