Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN components allows remote attackers to corrupt memory during a crafted Wi-Fi Direct P2P search. The P2P search path accepts device-type data without adequate validation before copying it into a buffer; Qualcomm has not published the function or buffer involved. The network-reachable path requires no authentication or user interaction, while the disclosed impact stops at memory corruption rather than a documented crash or code-execution outcome.
