Kernel memory corruption via FASTRPC creation race
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon FASTRPC kernel drivers allows local users to corrupt memory during dynamic process creation. Concurrent creation and resource-release operations can leave the driver referencing freed memory, but Qualcomm has not disclosed the affected function or object. Exploitation requires high local privileges; Qualcomm has not published the resulting behavior beyond the use-after-free condition.
