WLAN service interruption via Wi-Fi FTM assertion
Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
A WLAN reachable assertion in Qualcomm Snapdragon Wired Infrastructure and Networking allows remote attackers to interrupt service via Wi-Fi FTM. The WLAN subsystem reaches an assertion while processing Wi-Fi Fine Timing Measurement activity, but Qualcomm has not disclosed the triggering input or failed validation. No authentication or user interaction is required; the resulting failure affects availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
