Arbitrary code execution via use-after-free
Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 14.5, tvOS before 14.5, and watchOS before 7.4 allows attackers to execute code. The iTunes Store component accesses an object after its memory has been freed because of insufficient memory management; Apple has not identified the affected function or object type. JavaScript execution in the iTunes Store context is required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary code with the affected process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
