CVE-2021-1808

Restricted-memory disclosure via Audio memory corruption

Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Memory corruption in the Audio component of affected Apple operating systems allows local applications to read restricted memory. Apple identifies inadequate validation in Audio as the cause but has not disclosed the malformed input, affected routine, or exact memory operation. Execution of an application on the device is required, and the documented consequence is limited to exposure of memory that the application normally cannot access.
