Out-of-bounds read in ImageIO before iOS and iPadOS 14.4 or macOS Big Sur 11.2 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted image. Apple identifies the component and faulty bounds checking but has not published the lower-level parsing locus or malformed image field. Exploitation requires the target to process attacker-controlled image content, and successful execution runs code in the affected ImageIO consumer's context.
