Credential phishing via unvalidated shared-view email URLs
Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
URL redirection in Salesforce Tableau Server allows remote authenticated users to direct shared-view email recipients to malicious sites. The shareContent endpoint accepts a client-supplied URL without server-side validation and places it in the href of a trusted notification email. A viewer account can target only users on the same Tableau site, and exploitation requires a recipient to click the email link.
