Arbitrary file read and write via path traversal
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Path traversal in Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance before 1.0.9-292 allows remote authenticated users to read and write arbitrary files. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates crafted command input and uploaded file paths, allowing paths to escape intended directories. Administrative authentication to the management interface is required; successful exploitation exposes arbitrary appliance files to reading or modification.
