CVE-2021-1606Network attack vector

Authenticated stored XSS via unvalidated input

Published Jul 8, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in Cisco Identity Services Engine before 2.6 Patch 9, 2.7 Patch 4, or 3.0 Patch 3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a management-interface user's browser. The web management interface insufficiently validates user-supplied data before placing it into specific pages, allowing attacker-controlled code to persist and run when an affected page is viewed. Valid administrative credentials and a victim who opens the affected page are required; the documented consequences are script execution and access to browser-based information.
