Root command execution via crafted management requests
Published Aug 4, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
OS command injection in Cisco Small Business RV160 and RV260 Series firmware before 1.0.01.04 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The web management interface insufficiently validates crafted request input before forming operating-system commands; Cisco does not identify the endpoint or parameter. Unauthenticated LAN access is sufficient by default; WAN access requires remote management, and execution is root-level but limited to commands without parameters.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
