Root command execution via restricted CLI commands
Published May 22, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
OS command injection in Cisco DNA Spaces Connector before 2.3.1 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as root via the CLI. Affected CLI commands enforce insufficient execution restrictions, allowing the dnasadmin account to cross the intended privilege boundary. An authenticated dnasadmin session is required, and successful exploitation grants root-level command execution without reported availability impact.
