Root command execution via unsanitized internal messages
Published May 6, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
Command injection in Cisco RV340, RV340W, RV345, and RV345P firmware before 1.0.03.21 allows local users to execute commands as root. The internal messaging service fails to sanitize crafted request data before it reaches command execution. Reachability requires local device access and valid Administrator credentials; successful exploitation grants full control of the underlying router OS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
