Missing authentication in the web management interface of Cisco HyperFlex HX Data Platform allows remote attackers to upload files via HTTP. The upload function accepts a specific request without authenticating the caller and stores the file with tomcat8 user permissions. No login or user interaction is required, but the consequence is limited to writing files; Cisco reports no public announcements or malicious use.
