Unauthenticated command execution via crafted management requests
Published May 6, 2021 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Command injection in Cisco HyperFlex HX Data Platform allows remote attackers to execute commands as the tomcat8 user via crafted web requests. The web-based management interface insufficiently validates user-supplied input before passing it into command execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants the web service account command execution on the appliance.
