Policy bypass in Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Software allows remote attackers to deliver malicious payloads via crafted HTTP headers. The Snort HTTP detection engine mishandles unspecified HTTP header parameters, causing a configured file policy to permit matching traffic. Exploitation requires a vulnerable Snort release and an enabled HTTP Detection Engine File Policy; the consequence is payload transit, not code execution on the firewall.
