Authenticated command execution via insufficient input validation
Published May 22, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
OS command injection in Cisco Prime Infrastructure before 3.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via crafted HTTP requests. The web-based management interface passes insufficiently validated request input into an operating-system command context. Authentication is required; successful exploitation runs commands as a special non-root user and can expose data, alter managed-device configurations, or interrupt service.
