Command injection in Cisco IOS XR 64-Bit Software before 7.3.1 allows local users to execute Linux commands with root privileges. The CLI insufficiently validates user-supplied text before passing it to an affected command, allowing injected command delimiters to reach the underlying Linux environment. Exploitation requires authenticated device CLI access and crafted input to an affected command; successful injection runs with root privileges.
