Traffic interception via improper certificate validation
Published Mar 24, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
Improper certificate validation in Cisco Jabber allows man-in-the-middle attackers to inspect or modify client-server connections. The client accepts a maliciously crafted server certificate when network requests are intercepted from a privileged network position. Exploitation requires control of the traffic path; successful attacks expose protected data and permit in-transit modification without compromising the endpoint.
