Authenticated avatar modification via improper authorization checks
Published Apr 8, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
Improper authorization in Cisco Webex Meetings for Android before 41.3 allows remote authenticated users to modify another user's avatar. The affected request path accepts a crafted avatar-change request without verifying that the meeting participant controls the targeted user's avatar. Both users must participate in the same meeting, and the documented consequence is limited to an unauthorized avatar change rather than broader account control.
