DLL hijacking in Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client for Windows before 4.9.06037 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. During an upgrade, the client loads a DLL from a user-writable directory, allowing a planted malicious library to run with elevated service privileges. Exploitation requires valid Windows credentials and control of the specific directory at upgrade time; the resulting process has SYSTEM privileges.
