Privilege escalation in Cisco IOS XE SD-WAN Software allows local users with read-only access to obtain administrative privileges. The default SD-WAN configuration applies console authentication and authorization without enforcing the read-only role boundary. Exploitation requires physical console access, Controller mode or a standalone SD-WAN image, and valid read-only credentials.
