Path traversal in Cisco Unified CM IM&P allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive operating-system files via crafted HTTP requests. Its web-based management interface fails to validate directory traversal character sequences in user-supplied request input before resolving file paths. Valid application credentials and network access to that interface are required; successful exploitation provides read-only access to files on the underlying system.
