Authenticated root command execution via SSO input
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Command injection in Cisco SD-WAN vManage vAnalytics SSO configuration allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as root. The vAnalytics SSO handler performs improper validation of user-supplied configuration input before invoking command execution. Exploitation requires vAnalytics to be enabled and valid vManage credentials, after which the attacker can obtain root-level control of the management system.
