Configuration modification via administrator-resource authorization failure
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Authorization bypass in Cisco Data Center Network Manager before 11.5(1) allows remote authenticated users to edit device configuration. The web management interface fails to restrict administrator-only resources and accepts crafted HTTP requests from lower-privileged accounts. Valid nonadministrative credentials are required, and successful exploitation changes managed configuration without granting reported read access.
