Configuration access via missing resource authorization
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Cisco Data Center Network Manager before 11.5(1) allows remote authenticated users to alter system configurations. The web management interface fails to limit crafted HTTP requests to resources reserved for Administrator users, allowing low-privileged accounts to list, view, create, edit, and delete specific configurations. Valid nonadministrative credentials and network access to the management interface are required; successful exploitation grants Administrator-equivalent access only to the affected configuration resources.
