Configuration disclosure via cleartext API-retrievable archives
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Cleartext storage in Cisco Catalyst Center before 2.1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read managed-device configurations via APIs. The configuration archive functionality saves full running configurations without masking or encryption and exposes the stored files through multiple API calls. Any privilege-level account can execute the call sequence and obtain sensitive configuration data for managed devices.
