CVE-2021-1260

Root command execution via CLI input injection

Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Command injection in Cisco SD-WAN Software CLI allows authenticated local attackers to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges via crafted input. The CLI insufficiently validates user-supplied values before processing affected commands, enabling command injection that can read, write, or delete files on the underlying device. Exploitation requires read-only authenticated CLI access and no user interaction; Cisco reports no public exploitation announcements.
