CVE-2021-1259Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file write via path traversal

Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Path traversal in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager before 18.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files via crafted HTTP requests. The web interface fails to reject directory traversal sequences in HTTP requests and uses the resulting path for a file write. Valid management credentials are required; the resulting access writes arbitrary files, with no reported direct read or service-interruption capability.
