CVE-2021-1254Network attack vector

Browser script execution via insufficient input validation

Published May 22, 2021 · Updated Nov 8, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Cisco Unified Contact Center Express before 12.6(1) allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The bundled Finesse web management interface fails to validate administrator-supplied input before accepting injected script code; Cisco does not identify the affected parameters. Valid administrator credentials are required to inject the code, and a user must click a malicious link before it runs in the interface context or exposes browser-based information.
