Script execution via unvalidated editor input
Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco Unified CVP 12.6(2) ES4 through ES17 allows remote attackers to execute script code via a crafted editor link. The web-based management interface fails to validate user-supplied OpenSocial Gadget Editor input before a browser processes it. Exploitation requires an interface user to follow the link; resulting code runs in the interface context and can read sensitive browser-based information.
