CVE-2021-1238Network attack vector

Authenticated stored XSS via unvalidated interface input

Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Stored XSS in Cisco Firepower Management Center before 6.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script code through a crafted link. The web-based management interface accepts user-supplied input without sufficient validation and later renders the stored content in another user's browser. Exploitation requires high-privilege FMC access and a user who clicks the link; resulting code runs in the interface context and can read sensitive browser data.
