CVE-2021-1233

Arbitrary file read via crafted iperf request

Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Improper input validation in Cisco SD-WAN before 18.4.3 allows local users to read any file through a crafted iperf request. The CLI insufficiently validates the crafted request before sending it to the bundled iperf tool, enabling access to files anywhere on the device filesystem. Exploitation requires authenticated, high-privilege local CLI access, and the reported consequence is file disclosure without integrity or availability impact.
