Credential disclosure via insufficiently protected static credentials
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in Cisco Smart Software Manager Satellite 5.1.0 and earlier allow local users to read sensitive credentials. Static credentials stored on the local appliance are insufficiently protected, allowing an authenticated user with local access to retrieve them. Access requires an authenticated local session, and the exposed credentials can enable further attacks against the system.
