User redirection via unvalidated URL parameters
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Open redirect in Cisco Smart Software Manager On-Prem 5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to redirect other users to malicious sites. The web management interface accepts URL parameters in crafted HTTP requests without validating the redirect destination. Exploitation requires authenticated access and user interaction, and the bounded impact is redirection to an attacker-chosen website.
