Authenticated root code execution via HTTP input validation

Cisco Small Business RV110W, RV130, RV130W, and RV215W Router firmware contains a stack-based buffer overflow in the web management interface that allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary code or restart the device through crafted HTTP requests. Improper validation of user-supplied input lets an administrator-controlled request overwrite stack memory and run code as root on the underlying operating system. Exploitation requires valid administrator credentials and network access to the management interface; successful attacks can fully compromise confidentiality and integrity or interrupt service by reloading the router.
