Command injection in Cisco RV router management interfaces allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands via crafted HTTP requests. The interface fails to validate user-supplied request data before passing it to operating-system command execution, so injected commands run with root privileges. Valid administrator credentials and access through the LAN interface, or through WAN management when explicitly enabled, are required.
