Root command execution via crafted HTTP requests
Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Command injection in Cisco Small Business RV110W, RV130, RV130W, and RV215W routers allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root. The web management interface improperly validates user-controlled data in crafted HTTP requests before executing injected operating-system commands. Valid administrator credentials and LAN access are required unless remote management is enabled; WAN management is disabled by default.
