Authenticated user enumeration via missing API authorization
Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Incorrect authorization in the Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences 10.6.0 through 10.6.2 API allows remote authenticated users to enumerate users. The affected API processes certain GET requests without enforcing the authorization checks required for the requesting account. Low-privileged CMX credentials are sufficient to expose usernames for reconnaissance without altering data or service availability.
