CVE-2021-1119

Code execution via double-free write primitive

Published Oct 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Double free in the Virtual GPU Manager in NVIDIA vGPU Software allows local users to execute arbitrary code or interrupt service. The vGPU plugin releases the same pointer twice, corrupting memory into a write-what-where condition in the manager process. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access; successful use can alter manager memory or stop the hosted vGPU service.
