Untrusted pointer dereference in the NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux allows local users to cause denial of service. The kernel-mode control-call handlers dereference caller-supplied pointers embedded in control parameters without first establishing that the referenced memory is trusted. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation interrupts system availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
