CVE-2021-1090

Data tampering or service interruption via out-of-bounds access

Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds access in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver on Windows and Linux allows local users to tamper with data or interrupt service. The nvlddmkm.sys kernel-mode control-call handler uses an attacker-controlled index or pointer to read or write beyond the end of a buffer. A low-privilege local account is required; successful triggering can corrupt data or cause denial of service, with no confidentiality impact reported.
