Data disclosure and service interruption via unchecked length
Published Apr 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Input validation in NVIDIA vGPU Software before 8.7, 11.4, or 12.2 allows local users to read or alter data or interrupt service. The Virtual GPU Manager plugin accepts an input length without validating it before processing the associated data; NVIDIA has not disclosed the input path. Low-privileged local access is required, and the consequences are bounded to data disclosure or alteration and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=vGPU version all version prior to 8.7, all version prior to 11.4, and all version prior to 12.2
